Homeless Veterans Project Attorney Accreditation Training
Before representing veterans in the preparation, presentation, prosecution or appeal of claims for veterans’ benefits an attorney must be accredited by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
Inner City Law Center provides the three-hour MCLE training that is required for accreditation. Here is the accreditation process:
-
Write to the California Supreme Court requesting a Certificate of Good Standing;
-
Complete the three-page VA Application form found here, and send it to the VA with the Certificate of Good Standing;
-
After receiving notice of your accreditation from the VA, take the mandatory three-hour MCLE training. An online training is available. Contact ICLC’s Director of Pro Bono at probono@innercitylaw.org for the training password or inquire about live training opportunities.
-
Send the VA proof of your completed MCLE training.
